Sands (Stillbirth and Neonatal Death Support)

Sands is the stillbirth and neonatal death charity. We operate throughout the UK, supporting anyone affected by the death of a baby, working to improve the care bereaved parents receive, and promoting research to reduce the loss of babies’ lives.

Sands supports anyone who has been affected by the death of a baby before, during or shortly after birth.  We offer emotional support and information for parents, grandparents, siblings, children, families and friends, health professionals and others.

  1. Please can you help? My daughter has a Parliamentary petition on going to have babies from 16 weeks gestation acknowledged by law entitling them to a birth/death certificate. This is because she lost one of her twin daughters to TTTS at 19 weeks but gave birth at 36 weeks to both girls Daisy (19 weeks) and her surviving daughter Aubree now doing well meeting her targets. Please help in whichever way you can
