Welcome to Have you seen that girl?

I’m Lindsay – married to Gavin and Mum to our little boy Reuben. We live and work in Belfast, Northern Ireland. As a major American Country Music fan, meeting Brad Paisley in August 2011 is one of my lifetime highlights! I love reading, writing, netflix, chips with curry sauce and I eat tomato ketchup with everything!

I’m the founder of Have you seen that girl?, which I began almost 2 years ago as a space for parents to talk honestly about their struggles with parenthood and/or mental health.

This was due to my own battle with Perinatal Mental Illness, which wasn’t diagnosed until Reuben was two. By the point of diagnosis I was exceptionally ill – mentally, emotionally and physically. The illness, on a number of occasions, could have taken my life. But it didn’t and I am here today and determined to play my part in supporting other parents.

I’m dedicated to raising awareness of Perinatal Mental Health and helping to improve the support available, for all who struggle.

I’m passionate about reminding parents that they are not alone and that there is help & hope to be found.

I founded & co-lead the campaign, in Northern Ireland, to see our Perinatal Mental Health Services transformed – #TimeForChangeNI

I have a Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy.

Have you seen that girl? is also a member of the Maternal Mental Health Alliance and a supporter of their #Everyonesbusiness Campaign.
