Interview on BBC Radio Ulster Good Morning Ulster

My interview on BBC Radio Ulster about Maternal Mental Health – sharing some of my story and the positive impact of Serena Williams sharing her experiences of motherhood.

I was delighted to be on with my friend Nuala Murphy of Moment.Health as we both acknowledged how important it is to have open and honest conversations about this season of life.

We also highlighted (again!) that 80% of NI do not have access to specialist services, that we need an MBU (Mother & Baby Unit) and also funding for more peer support. More information on that here – 80% of N.I. still no access to specialist PMH services.

You can hear us both in the 7 minute video below!

If you’re struggling, please know that you are not alone and there is no blame and no shame with needing help and support.
