Perinatal Mental Health & Wellbeing, Northern Ireland
I am very excited to be promoting/advertising this event which I have organised – it’s been months in the planning!! I am hosting it, alongside our good friends at Moment Health.
12th May, Belfast City Hall, 10am-1pm
The purpose of the event is to highlight, once again, the issue of Perinatal Mental Health in Northern Ireland and together discuss and plan a way forward, in the light of the RQIA Review Recommendations into PMH. You can find those here.
You’ll probably be aware that our services and support systems, in NI, are very lacking but did you know that 80% of NI DO NOT have access to the help they need? 80%.
It’s simply not good enough.
The RQIA have detailed WHAT needs to change, WHY and WHEN.
We must take this from ‘just words’ and see ACTION.
I am delighted to be working closely with the RQIA, and that we will have contributions from:
•Maternal Mental Health Alliance & Everyone’s Business Campaign – Emily Slater (UK).
•RQIA – Theresa Nixon
•Have you seen that girl?
•Department of Health
•Public Health Agency
•Regional Perinatal Mental Health Forum NI
•Moment Health – Nuala Murphy
There will be an opportunity to input during the Panel Discussion, when we would be keen to hear your thoughts and take any questions.
Space is tight and there has been lots of interest, so places are limited.
But if you’d like to join us please email me, Lindsay at firstname.lastname@example.org
